Check Whether Your E-Mail Account Hacked or Not

If you ever worried about the security of your E-Mail accounts and afraid of loosing your important and personal data or you already have been suffered before from this activity of anonymous hackers. This is ever happened to you, you've created an account on any website and it's password changed automatically or any important data is leaked. Recently, many famous websites like: Adobe, Dailymotion, LinkedIn, Domino's, Dropbox etc. was severely breached and millions of credentials publicized with usernames/E-mail and passwords(as plain text) available in public domains.

Well I can't say there is no way to prevent this. Lack of proper preventive measures directly lead the hackers to breach the servers. Now, what happened before is can't be undone but you can check whether you are affected by this breach or not.

Have I Been Pwned is a nice project initiated and developed by Troy Hunt, a Microsoft Regional Director. This is an excellent project developed after what was, at the time, the largest ever single breach of customer accounts - Adobe. As soon as you land on this site's home page, you can enter your E-Mail to check whether it is available in public domain or not. If your account is affected then it'll show you the message and once you know, you can definitely take some preventive measures.

Once you verify your E-Mail or username is publicized or not, you can also verify the password as well. Just click on the Password tab in upper navigation bar and you can also check for your passwords. This website also contains the complete list of websites which are affected and also their stats. This site also contains a very nice feature, it provide a notification when next breach occurs and your account is compromised. This is a free project and you can also support this project by donation.
